There are a few essential details you should know
before taking your child's first photo shoot. They understand our way of
working and conducting the newborn session. Because this is a delicate test,
and the most difficult to do because the time is not ours but the baby's. We
work together with you to make your baby feel comfortable.
1. PATIENCE: It is one of the most important points. We
are different people for the baby, he may find it strange, besides he captures
very well how mom is doing so we all need to work with that so he feels good
too.
2. NO HURRY: We can't run the rehearsal. Some unforeseen
events can happen and this is super normal, so we ask that you have time one
day. (changing diapers, breastfeeding, resuming sleep..)
3. CALM: Keep the house calm, without too many people.
Avoid visits and at the time of rehearsal, that only the parents are present.
If other family members or friends are going to participate, we ask them to
stay calm too, and keep a distance from the baby so as not to stress him or
interfere with the photographers' work.
4.
BREASTFEEDING: Bring the baby
breastfed and with few clothes, as this makes it much easier for us in addition
to reducing the chances of him waking up. If possible, let the baby awake early
so he can sleep at rehearsal time. We know that with a few days it is more
complicated, but all the effort in the end is worth it.
5. VACCINES: In the days close to the session, avoid
vaccinations, foot test, among others, as they get more irritated and
uncomfortable on these days.
6. DURATION:
The duration of the test can be 1, 2, even 4 hours. It all depends on the baby,
as said before, it's his time and we can't force anything.
7. WHEN TO
PHOTOGRAPH: The ideal is to family photography woodlands tx from the 7th to 15th days.
After the tenth day they stay awake longer and show more interest in
discovering the world that is new to them. After this period, the onset of
cramps can occur.
